For more information
Fly to Delhi, India. There is a free airport shuttle-bus that will take you from Delhi International Airport to Delhi Domestic Airport (and vise-versa, about 20 min ride) if you have a connecting flight (you must show your e-ticket, boarding-pass). If you are over-nighting or have a long delay, check-in to the domestic “Airport Hotel” 100m away opposite and visible outside the domestic airport. It is clean and tidy with bath/shower and restaurant. You pay around Rupees 2,600 for a twin-room and they do take credit-cards.
Alternatively, overnight in an interesting part of Delhi 12 kms from airport (the taxi ride across town will be an eye opener) at the Hotel Yes Please. Book on line at cottageyesplease@yahoo.co.in
Then fly to Srinagar, capital of Kashmir (this is a spectacular one hour flight along the Himalayan Ranges – if you can get a starboard window seat).
We will then meet you at Srinagar to accompay you in the taxi to Gulmarg. This is approximately 45 km on sealed highway to Gulmarg Ski Resort.
Note: The taxi from Srinagar to Gulmarg is not heated so dress warmly.
